Fall Leadership Conference
On September 27 Area 2 members all gathered at Elsik High School for our annual Fall leadership conference. Members got a chance to learn from healthcare professionals from various fields and engage in hands on activities such blood typing, teamwork games, and ore. Furthermore members heard from our amazing guest speaker Dr. Brandi Brotherton! A special shoutout to Clearbrook HS HOSA for winning the prestigious spirit stick! Continue showing your Area 2

Menstrual Hygiene Fundraiser
The Area 2 Menstrual Hygiene fundraiser is still ongoing! Visit the Area 2 instagram bio to donate and help end period poverty for the numerous women that can’t afford period products. Top donating schools will be recognized at the Area conference!
NMPDP Fundraiser Highlight
At our Fall Leadership Conference we hosted our annual NMDP fundraiser: Candy Counter! Congratulations to Cypress Ranch HOSA for raising the most money. Make sure to bring cash and continue showing support for NMDP at the Spring Leadership conference where we will be hosting a Bingo themed fundraiser!

Spring Leadership Conference
January 12-24th
The Area 2 Spring Leadership Conference will be taking place at Travis B High School this year! Make sure to wear your best area 2 gear for a chance to win this years SLC Spirit Award!
Applying for HOSA Office
- Officer candidate exam:Take and pass the officer candidate exam during the online testing period from November 18-20.
- Online Officer Application:Complete the online officer application form, located on the Texas HOSA website.
- Spring Leadership Conference:At SLC complete your interview with the nominating committee and give your campaign speech at the SLC business session.
HOSA Chapter Highlight
A huge shoutout to Shadow Creek HOSA! Their members worked to create cards for HCA Healthcare Center’s staff and patients. Their efforts remind us all that small acts of kindness can make a big difference! Post photos of HOSA Chapter events to be featured in our next newsletter!
